Spi­der-Man (2002)

He is a completely normal boy. Peter Parker [Tobey Maguire] lives with his Aunt May and his Uncle Ben (Rosemary Harris, Cliff Robertson) in the New York borough of Queens, goes to school, takes photos for the school newspaper and has a crush on the beautiful Mary Jane Watson [Kirsten Dunst]. But then the day comes when his life changes radically: Peter Parker is bitten by a genetically manipulated spider. And from now on nothing will be the same again.
Peter soon notices the first physical changes in himself: He becomes stronger. More flexible. His senses become more acute when danger threatens. He can climb even the steepest, smoothest walls and jump incredible distances. And he is able to secrete web fluid - Peter Parker has the powers of a spider.
Peter is enthusiastic and makes the most of his new abilities: money. As a wrestler, he wants to make a fortune with these powers. But then his beloved Uncle Ben dies in a robbery - and the legacy he left his nephew, will determine Peter's fate: 'With great power comes great responsibility.' As Spider-Man, Peter Parker dedicates his life to the fight against crime. And he has no idea that his most terrible opponent comes from his own environment.
The ambitious industrialist Norman Osborn [Willem Dafoe], father of Peter's roommate Harry (James Franco), suddenly changes: an experiment has gone fatally wrong and has given the businessman supernatural physical and mental powers - but has also robbed him of his mind and all scruples. Norman Osborn is now the Green Goblin. The supervillain becomes the scourge of New York. Even Mary Jane and Aunt May are not safe from him. Only one person can stop the Green Goblin's destructive rage and bloodlust: Spider-Man...
