Works by Beethoven, Mozart and Dvořák

The trumpet fanfare that announces a new, free world in Beethoven's Leonore Overture No. 2 also represents the spirit of optimism at Klosters Music. The opening concert features Antonín Dvořák's Symphony No. 9 "From the New World", a great romantic work. Here, America is portrayed musically by the Czech composer: with the vastness of the prairie and strong emotions, with colorful instrumentation and gripping rhythms. Alina Ibragimova also discovers new worlds in Mozart's Violin Concerto No. 3 in G major. The Russian, who lives in England and is first violin of the London Chiaroscuro Quartet, is known for her spirited interpretations, trained in historical performance practice. With Maxim Emelyanychev, a brother in spirit stands at the conductor's desk of the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen.
