With works by Peter Tchaikovsky, Edward Grieg, Edward Elgar, Richard Wagner and Jean Sibelius.

In Finland, Jean Sibelius is a national saint. In his colorful "Karelia" suite, the composer describes an area in the southeast of the country where he spent his honeymoon. A folkloristic march meets a melancholic ballad. Edvard Grieg also shows pride in his homeland in his piano concerto, for example in the finale, whose rhythm is inspired by the Norwegian jumping dance Halling. The Canadian pianist Jan Lisiecki, an exclusive artist of Deutsche Grammophon, is just the right person to release this energy with the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen under Maxim Emelyanychev. Other musical homes can be experienced with works by Edward Elgar, Peter Tchaikovsky and Richard Wagner. Wagner's lyrical "Siegfried Idyll" was even written in Tribschen on Lake Lucerne.
