In the summer of 1957, Italian car manufacturer and former racing driver Enzo Ferrari (Adam Driver) is in a serious crisis. His company Ferrari, which he and his wife Laura (Penélope Cruz) built from nothing ten years earlier, is on the verge of bankruptcy. Ferrari's turbulent marriage vacillates between mourning his lost son and acknowledging the other with his lover (Shailene Woodley). To avoid further financial losses, Ferrari decides to focus all his energies on one race: the famous Mille Miglia, a 1,000-mile race across Italy.
