This is the story of a ball. A big ball. The Grand Bal has been a meeting of folk and traditional dance for 27 years. Every summer, more than two thousand people from all over Europe flock to a small French town in the countryside. For 7 days and 8 nights, they dance, over and over again, losing the notion of time, defying their tiredness and their bodies. Everything spins, people laugh, whirl, cry, sing. And life pulsates. A film full of pure joy of life. About and with people who devote themselves to music and dance and about musicians who play these people into the dance.
