Vor dem Cinema Luna, direkt hinter dem Bahnhof, Frauenfeld

What happens when fate strikes just when you've decided to make a decision in life? OPEN HEARTS tells the story of four people who suddenly and unpreparedly encounter the fragility of life and the power of love. A film about promises we cannot keep and about life that cannot be planned. And a film about the responsibility we have for the people we love.
Director Susanne Bier celebrated a huge box office success in 1999 with her first film 'The one and only' (which will be released in cinemas next year in a remake by Simon Cellan-Jones), and OPEN HEARTS is also currently breaking all records in Denmark; the film had an absolutely fantastic opening (even better than 'Italian for Beginners'). Susanne Bier has quietly become the most successful Danish filmmaker. With a distinct feeling for atmosphere and the subtle humor behind the tragedy, the director takes us through a rollercoaster of emotions in her latest film (Danish Dogme #9).
