The summer holidays seem endless and sticky like chewing gum to Harry. If his foster parents, the Dursleys, weren't afraid that he would turn them all into dung beetles, he would certainly have to spend the whole time in the broom cupboard. But Harry is very excited about the new school year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. But - how could it be otherwise - this is not without incident either. First he misses the train to Hogwarts with his friend Ron, then everything goes wrong at the first Quidditch game and finally something strange appears in the castle that even the wise Dumbledore has no explanation for.
