The successful producer Frank Farian (Matthias Schweighöfer) hires the unknown dancers Rob Pilatus (Tijan Njie) and Fab Morvan (Elan Ben Ali) for his next music project. What follows is a meteoric rise that goes beyond all dimensions. Under the name Milli Vanilli, the two friends Rob and Fab storm the international charts, land three number 1 hits in the USA and enjoy the excessive life in Hollywood. Only a small circle of insiders knows their secret: the duo doesn't actually sing themselves, they just move their lips - to the voices of the real singers. At the height of their fame, when Milli Vanilli wins the Grammy and tours America, the truth finally comes to light.
