Hallvar Witzø's bittersweet feature film debut tells the story of the lovable loner Johan Grande. Due to his unusual hobby and his idiosyncratic nature, he becomes an outsider. A Norwegian comedy full of quirky characters and black humor.
Johan is in constant conflict with the rural community. Orphaned at a young age, Johan is raised by his aunt and uncle. Over the course of his life, he struggles to find his place in society and to cope with his lifelong, unrequited love for the girl next door, whom he almost blew up when he was young.
