Carl Casper (Jon Favreau) and his assistant chefs Martin (John Leguizamo) and Tony (Bobby Cannavale) love standing in front of steaming pots and sizzling pans. Unfortunately, Carl's boss Riva (Dustin Hoffman) doesn't like their ambitious dishes and forces them to prepare a menu devoid of ideas. However, Carl can't deal with the negative restaurant reviews that follow and quits the job. With the emotional support of his girlfriend Molly (Scarlett Johansson), who not only craves his dishes, Carl now looks for another company where he can develop his culinary skills freely.
