Öffentliche Stadtführung
Der St.Galler Stiftsbezirk gehört seit 1983 zum UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe. Das üppige Barockensemble samt Bibliothek und Kathedrale lassen selbst Kulturmuffel in atemloses Staunen verfallen. Während der Führung erfährst du Interessantes über die barocke Kathedrale mit ihrer imposanten Doppelturmfassade – das Wahrzeichen der Stadt und eine der letzten monumentalen Klosterbauten des Barocks. Das Herzstück des Stiftsbezirks bildet die Stiftsbibliothek, die zu den ältesten und schönsten Bibliotheken der Welt zählt. Dieser Rundgang führt auch durch einen Teil der Altstadt.
