Max und Annie treffen sich allwöchentlich mit befreundeten Paaren zu einem Spieleabend. Auch Max' Bruder Brooks gehört zur Runde. Er schlägt eines Abends ein neues Spiel vor. Es geht um eine Entführung. Dafür hat er sogar Schauspieler als Gangster und FBI-Ermittler angeheuert. Als Brooks entführt wird, kommt bald die Frage auf, ob es noch ein Spiel ist oder ob es sich um einen Ernstfall handelt.
