alcyón — Wurzeln — basiert auf dem kollektiven Gedächtnis, das in den vergänglichen Momenten von Liebe, Schmerz und Trauer verwurzelt ist. Mit einer Variation von melodischen, harmonischen und rhythmischen Klangfarben offenbaren die in Bern lebenden Zoi Argyriou, Christos Lazaridis und Samina Sofia Molfetta, den Reichtum des griechischen Musikrepertoires aus verschiedenen griechischsprachigen Regionen des Mittelmeerraums. In einem musikalischen Rahmen von Intimität und Resilienz reflektiert alcyón über die Themen Eros, Verlust und Nostalgie.

In a unique soundscape of Greek traditional melodies, rhythms and polyphonic singing alcyón explores the expressive power of the voice, accordion, and percussion. alcyón — roots — responds to the collective memory rooted in the ephemeral moments of love, pain and mourning . Using a range of melodic, harmonic, and rhythmic timbres it reveals the richness of greek music repertoire of various Greek speaking regions across the Mediterranean.
